Cheyenne Sun Dance

The Sun Dance. . . a ceremony common to most Plains Indian and a few Great Basin tribes. The central theme of the Cheyenne Sun Dance is world renewal: to make the whole world over again. It begins with the Lodge-maker who makes his vow and following that everything is supposed to begin to take new life, for the Medicine-Spirit {Maiyun}, having heard the prayer of the pledger begins at once to answer it, not so much for the pledger himself or his family, as for the whole tribe.

ending, beginning & ..

can't quite believe it's 7 weeks since i last made a post.
that's also 7 weeks since i left my previous workplace.
the emails from ex-colleagues have gotten from many to zilch...
i guess what they say is true, life goes on, no matter
am slowly adjusting to my new environment.
has been a little crazy for a while, hence explaining the absence here..

just saw the videos released as part of the 911 commission findings, the ones showing the hijackers getting on board the plane that crashed into the pentagon.
whilst the u.s. is shocked at how easily terrorists got on board through the airport security, i am more sadden by what went on in the minds of these hijackers while they make their way to what is to be their doom.
what drives a man?
